Using images on the site

By flocasts

Whats the policy behind using the images from daylife on our site. As in we make regular news headlines and we would love to use these images everyday, we are working on integrating the API into our site so we can automate the process but until we get around doing it (a month or so) can we save the picture and use by crediting the picture as Daylife.com/Getty or Reuters or AP Photo?

You need a license with Getty/AP/Reuters Images

Madhu,

To use Getty, AP or Reuters images (either through the API or by manually/editorially pointing to it), you need your own individual license with these agencies and a mutual consent from them that you can use our platform to get these images. Once we are squared with the license issues, I give you a special source_filter_id to use with the APIs.

To get scraped images from the web using our API, you need to provide a parameter include_publication_images=1 in the topic_getRelatedImages or search_getRelatedImages API.
