Behind the Scenes with Petermans Eye

Peterman's Eye is a web portal where J. Peterman wants to build a marketplace for ideas. A place where people can educate, entertain and discuss with each other topics they find interesting.

Peterman's Eye has integrated with the DayPIs to create tools for their editors to discover interesting news stories from around the world everyday and selectively put them on the site.

The developers at Peterman's Eye have built their admin tools talking to the DayPI using the Ruby client that we have up as sample code. The editors there decide the keywords and pull the relevant stories every day.

Petermans Black Eye

Petermans Eye is a great concept and captivating;however, the chit chat room has not increased in members in over a year. A virtual Gilligans Island of wannabees who dominate the board and turned Petermans Eye into a cyber village with all village idiots dancing in cyber bikinis on cyber sail boats with a cyber Queen Bee who was cyberly crowned. New members are discouraged unless they fall in a pecking order especially if their comments are awarded more than the regulars who spend night and day on the Petermans Eye board. Now removed after complaints, Petermans eye fell down to the level of harrassment and vile name calling with Peterman doing nothing, violating his own terms of agreement. The old J Petermanwas a great guy with a great concept, too bad the son and Sexton who is the marketer cannot fill his shoes on integrity. No place have I see a retailer allow their long term customers called by their privates and nothing done. Petermans eye is now Petermans Black Eye...an apology to long term good customers go a long way.
